    • On October 28, 2025, The National Center for the Rights of the Child (NCRC) underwent scrutiny at the National Assembly Audit.
    • The President of the NCRC, Chung Ick-Joong, apologized multiple times.
    • With EARS raising the alarm, 10 out of the 23 MPs of the Health and Welfare Committee asked questions about adoption records.
  • National Archives Transfer
    • NCRC is looking to move files to the National Archive Seongnam branch WITHOUT consulting adoptee stakeholders.
    • NCRC is asking for additional budget for re-transferring and disinfecting files.
    • Disinfecting alone will cost up to ~500 million won.
